Tsuen Tea is a teahouse right across from the train station at the East end of Uji Bridge. Apparently, it has been open since 1160, making it the oldest tea shop in Japan. While we originally planned to get ice cream here, we ended up grabbing lunch.
I ordered the cold cha soba with wild vegetables (1,350円). The soba noodles were infused with Uji tea and were quite refreshing.

Simon ordered the hot cha soba with simmered herring (1,350円).

We both liked the food. We actually intended to come back for ice cream before leaving, but we didn't make it back in time.
PS: A random side note unrelated to the restaurant. While we were eating, I noticed there was a huntsman spider on the roof outside the window.
